After what was a ridiculously successful show for the Oh Shit CD release, we're back at Desperados with what will be our biggest Punk vs. Metal show ever! Eight incredible bands, hours of entertainment, and all for you, the loving Beer Core fans! This is our 25th Punk vs. Metal, so we've pulled out all the stops to put on the best show possible.
The show will feature Profits of Crime, Illuminated Minerva, The Press Gang, The Oh Shit Show, Truck, Cadaver Dog, and Statue of Demur rocking Desperados, fuelled by your cheers and $5.25 Pilsner Tallboys. You can get your tickets from Desperados, Heroes And Villains Tattoos, the bands, or any of the CBC bookers. We'd love to have you all come out and blow some minds with us! It took two long years, but Oh Shit! are finally releasing their next album, Get The Fuck Off Our Bus. This promises to be a ridiculous party with music for everyone who likes the dark side of the force. We knew this shaker would be bigger than big, so we are booking this as our first show at the newest, hugest Calgary Beer Core venue, Desperados. It's going to be an absolutely killer night with a screening of the Oh Shit! movie, and performances by rock and roll riot Acid Jac, metal superninjas World Class White Trash , fun-as-fuck punk rockers Caught Off Guard, and of course our favorite local hardcore hooligans, The Oh Shit! Show.
I know what you're wondering. You're thinking how such a thing is possible, a show of this magnitude must cost tens of thousands of dollars, but I assure you, tickets can be yours in advance from any of the bands, the folks at Desperados, or the Calgary Beer Core for the freakishly low price of $10, or you can buy them at the door for $15 if there's any left (which we kinda doubt).
And when is this incredible show, this live-changing event of awesomeness going to blow the doors off of Desperados? Friday, March 2nd. So clear your calendars, buy your tickets (cuz we're pretty sure this bad boy is going to sell out quicker than Gwen Stefani), come on out to Desperados!
I've heard the CD, and all I can tell you is it's going to blow your mind. Excellent production value... Fun tracks... This one's gonna get me some speeding tickets.
